Y'all, this summer has been pretty warm, and that's putting it very gently. We've been enjoying the cool air in our studio and making use of our time inside to get crafty.
One of our favorite D.I.Y.s involves the basic yarn pom pom. Yarn pom poms aren't new in the D.I.Y. scene and have probably made appearances in a number of your own crafty projects over the past year. We personally love pom poms, especially when they're extra fluffy.
We've upgraded the average yarn pom pom and dressed it up for summer by turning it into one of our favorite summer fruits: The Pineapple.
- Pom pom maker, such as The Loome or Clover's Pom Pom Maker
- Glue Gun
- Key Chain Hardware
We made our pom using a pom pom maker; yes it's a thing that exists, and if you're a crafty D.I.Y-er, you need one! Two of our top picks for pom pom makers are The Loome and Clover's Pom Pom Maker These tools make it SO easy to whip up perfect little pom poms!
We used some green felt to cut out the "leaves" for our pineapple and attached it using our glue gun. Add on a key ring and you've got yourself a little handmade D.I.Y. pom pom key chain to liven up your summer tote!
