Paper Craft Pantry DIY PVC Hanging Planters

Have you ever wandered around your local hardware store and somehow found yourself perusing the aisles when inspiration strikes?

That's exactly what happened a couple of weeks ago when we were making a Home Depot run to pick up a couple of things we needed for the house. I found inspiration in the plumbing aisle, seriously. I was standing alongside actual contractors and plumbers when a little light bulb came on, and I mean, it's not like I needed another excuse to work on a DIY project that would require more plants.

As the weather is starting to cool off, we're getting closer and closer to those perfect Fall patio days. We're certain that these PVC Patio Planters will liven up any backyard, patio or balcony space!

1. Using your drill + drill bit, make 3 holes around your PVC pipe cap. We marked them off with a sharpie and measured around the cap to get the holes as evenly spaced as possible.

2. Layer on some spray paint in a well ventilated area and let dry. We did about 2 really good coats to cover the surface!

3. Attach twine or rope to the holes in our PVC pipe caps and adjust to the length you desire. We chose to vary them in length to create some dimension and variation!

4. Fill the planters with your favorite plants or flowers!
