02.03.19 — Intro to Power Tools: Build A Shelf Workshop

145.00

Workshop taught by: Christy Beard

Date: Sunday, February 3rd

Time: 11am-3pm

Have you ever wanted to explore power tools but didn’t have the resources? Is there a D.I.Y. build you’re dying to make but don’t know where to start? This workshop is the perfect opportunity for anyone with little to no experience with power tools to be in a positive learning environment and build something from start to finish.

Join us for this hands-on and beginner friendly workshop where you will learn the fundamentals of the most common power tools – the power drill, nail gun, palm sander, and the miter saw.

Christy will be your guide through this 4-hour workshop where she’ll start off by providing you with in-depth training on how these tools work, safety tips as well as hands-on practice and experience using them.

We’ll then move on to the other portion of the workshop, where we will be building a box shelf. Using the tools you just learned and practiced with, you’ll be guided through this entire project and even have the opportunity to make your finished piece your own by adding legs, and learning about different wood finishes.

Your beautiful birch wood box shelf is perfect for displaying your plant collection, used as a mini bar or even as a bedside table!

All materials for the workshop will be provided and you will leave with your finished birch wood box shelf, a resource guide and the confidence to continue building at home.

What you'll get (and keep):

  • 4hrs of personalized workshop instruction

  • Tools 101 guide

  • Use of power tools + building materials

  • Box shelf wood

  • Sips + treats

  • 10% off The Paper + Craft Pantry retail
