04.26.19 — Shibori Workshop: Indigo Dye + Techniques

75.00

Workshop taught by: Miranda Anderson, owner of Live Free Creative

Date: Friday, April 26th

Time: 6pm-8pm

Experience Level: Open Level

In this hands-on workshop with maker and blogger, Miranda Anderson, you’ll learn all the basics of preparing, folding, and dyeing natural fabric to create gorgeous Shibori patterns, including both basic and intermediate designs.

During this two hour workshop, you’ll learn how to prepare and set the indigo dye and walk through the process start to finish. The magic will happen as you wait, and you will take both your original shibori dyed tea towels home at the end of class.

This class is a perfect introduction into working with textile art, as well as an introduction to intermediate shibori patterns for those who have already taken a previous indigo dyeing workshop.

All materials for this workshop will be provided and you'll leave with your one-of-a-kind tea towels and a good understanding of the materials, tools, dyes, preparation, and process so that you can experiment more on your own at home!

What you'll get (and keep):

  • 2 hrs of personalized workshop instruction

  • 2 natural cotton kitchen towels

  • Indigo dyes

  • Shibori supplies

  • Sips + treats

  • 10% off The Paper + Craft Pantry retail

*Note: please wear clothes that are okay getting dye on them!

All workshop sales are final- no refunds or exchanges. Ticket sales will end 24 hours prior to workshop.
